This educational and training App provides the information and advice to help ensure safer and more peaceful police-citizen encounters. It offers practical and proven information for both citizens and the police about what to do, say, and expect during police stops, and emergency incidents. It is a practical guide and training tool for families, schools, enterprises, as well as the law enforcement community.

The App was built with expert assistance from a diverse community of organizations and individuals from many walks of life; law enforcement, civil rights, law and criminal defense, public policy, journalism, media and communications, business, education (including students), medicine, and religion. Our collaboration came together in response to rising tensions between citizens and their police and with the firm belief that we are all in this together, and together we must all stay safer.

Recent events have clearly highlighted the need for reforms, better training and new forms of technology to restore and maintain trust between citizens and the police. Admittedly, it will take time to implement new policies and to learn the outcomes of various investigations and cases. Immediately, however, more can be done to keep people safe.

Experts know that disagreements between citizens and police are never won on the streets, nor in the moment of the encounter. It is about getting you and the officer safely past the encounter.

Our approach seeks to share the lessons that minimize mistakes, reduce conflict, preserve rights and freedom, and provide greater safety.

Our effort must remain ongoing and we welcome suggestions about how to improve this App.
